Possible Covid19 Or Other Illness?
Tonight, doc. Since these 2 days the body has not felt good (body temperature 37), and yesterday it felt like the chest on the right side when touched was painful and hot. Now every time I wake up from a sleeping position, the left back feels uncomfortable when taking a breath. Occasional nausea, hot throat. Is there a possibility that I will be infected with covid19 virus or have another disease?
Hello Gunarti, Thank you for the question.
Normal body temperature ranges from 36.1 to 37.2 degrees Celsius. Thus, your body rate is still classified as normal. The symptoms that you experience can be caused by stomach acid disease, which is a condition caused by the increase of stomach acid into the esophagus due to weakening of the lower part of the esophagus. Acid reflux disease can cause symptoms of heartburn or chest pain that feels hot, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, belching, sore throat, dry cough, lump in the throat. In addition, the symptoms that you experience can be caused by costchondritis and muscle aches.
A person can be suspected of having a corona virus infection if he has a history of traveling to a country with a corona case or contact with a person who is suspected or has been tested positive for this infection. Symptoms usually appear 2-14 days after exposure to this virus and the symptoms that appear are generally like flu symptoms but the general symptoms are cough, fever, shortness of breath. If you have no symptoms and do not have the risk factors mentioned above, then you are less likely to get a corona virus infection.
For now, please do your independent handling in the house with:
apply warm or cold compresses on the affected chest
avoid consuming spicy, sour and oily foods
Avoid consumption of caffeinated, fizzy, and alcoholic drinks
multiply water consumption
avoid lying down after eating
avoid consuming large portions of food, it is better to consume smaller but more frequent meals
If symptoms do not improve in the next 3 days, especially if accompanied by continued vomiting, difficulty in eating and drinking, high fever, please immediately consult a local GP. The doctor needs to examine you before giving the next treatment. If vomiting of blood or shortness of breath is heavy, please immediately visit the nearest emergency room so that treatment can be given immediately.
I hope this helps.
