Post-laparoscopic Suture Injuries Are Painful
good evening doctor,
1 Answer:
Hello Dian, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Postoperative pain is a normal thing to happen and in some people it can occur chronically (prolonged) and persistent even up to several months or several years after surgery is done and with postoperative wound condition that has experienced perfect repair.
However, complaints of postoperative pain can also be caused by a number of other possibilities such as an open wound, an infection in the surgical scar, or a disturbance in other organs in the abdominal cavity such as a gastrointestinal infection, or a bowel movement disorder.
Therefore, you should check your complaint again to a surgeon who performed operative action on you before, especially if the pain was felt to be very disturbing of your activities or rest.
In the meantime, you are allowed to take pain medication given by your doctor (if it still exists) or paracetamol in accordance with the dosage listed on the package until further therapeutic recommendations from your treating doctor. Also avoid doing things that are felt to trigger or aggravate complaints wherever possible. Also try not to be too stressed out, anxious or worried too much about your complaints and consult a doctor immediately.
I hope this helps.
