Post-pregnancy Pregnancy Program.?
I just gave birth by caesarean about 2 weeks ago because my baby had anencephaly. After surviving for 3 days, my baby finally died. I want to ask when is it best to get pregnant again? Because I really lost my first baby and wanted to get pregnant again soon. And what should I do so that it does not recur as before pregnancy? Thank you in advance.
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.

Anencephalus is a serious birth pox where the baby is born without an intact brain and skull. This condition occurs when the neural tube does not close completely to its development in the uterus. Not yet known the exact cause of this. However, genetic and other factors, such as folic acid deficiency, the environment in which the mother lives, the food or drink consumed by the mother, and certain medications that the mother consumes during pregnancy are thought to have contributed to this.
Without intending to scare you, mothers who have had babies with neural tube disorders (including anencephalus) are far at risk of having another baby with the same disorder. Therefore, prevention efforts are very important indeed.
There is no absolute standard when you are allowed to get pregnant again after giving birth to a baby with anencephalus. However, to wait for your reproductive organs to recover completely after giving birth, you better give a gap of about 1 to 3 months. This time standard certainly can vary depending on the condition of each mother. Therefore, it is more appropriate for you to consult this matter directly with your obstetrician.
To minimize your risk of conceiving a fetus with neural tube disorders, you can do the following trick:
Take regular pregnancy supplements (including folic acid) that doctors regularly prescribe as advised by your doctor. Eat a variety of healthy, folic acid-rich foods, such as avocados, bananas, celery, whole grains, asparagus, eggs, beets, citrus, broccoli, beans, beef liver, papaya, fortified cereals, etc. Live a healthy lifestyle, including not smoking, not consuming alcohol or any drugs carelessly, getting enough sleep, avoiding exposure to hazardous chemicals during pregnancy. Also invite your husband to always lead a healthy lifestyle, in order to improve the quality and quantity of sperm Control pregnancy regularly (if you are already pregnant) to the obstetrician, which is once a month when the age of the womb ranges from 1-7 months, once every 2 weeks at 8 months of pregnancy , and once a week when the gestational age stepped on 9 months until the time for your birth Hopefully it helps ya ..
