Hello, thank you for the question beforehand.
Ovarian cysts are pockets that contain fluid that is in the ovaries. Generally cysts tend to be asymptomatic, but in some cases if the cyst is large, or blocks blood flow, or ruptures, symptoms can occur. Symptoms in patients with ovarian cysts include more bleeding, irregular menstrual cycles, difficulty conceiving, pain in the pelvic bones, pain during sexual intercourse, vomiting, nausea, sensitive breasts, and difficulty in urinating and defecating.
Ovarian cyst itself is divided into 2 types, namely functional and pathological cysts. Functional cysts can appear as part of the menstrual cycle, these cysts usually disappear quickly and are not dangerous. For pathological cysts or abnormal cysts, for example dermoid cysts and adenoma cysts. In addition, if someone suffers from endometriosis or PCOS / polycystic ovary syndrome, it will trigger the formation of ovarian cysts.
Generally, postoperative healing will last around 4-6 weeks until completely healed. Pain that is felt by your wife can be due to tissue surgery is still in the process of healing, post menstrual pain, or because of other conditions, such as postoperative complications, or have other symptoms of disorders such as endometriosis or PCOS. To really know this, you should be able to consult with a gynecologist who handles your wife's case. the doctor can do a physical examination and support to see whether there are other disorders or not. So that proper handling can be done.
