Postpartum Stitches Are Normal?
I just gave birth 10 days ago and got a few stitches. Yesterday, after BAK, someone hung from my vagina. The shape is flabby, long gray to slightly reddish. I think it’s uterine excrement. By any chance is that loose sewing thread? I was worried. Because after that no blood came out, but there was a greenish liquid, and my vagina was a little itchy. Explanation please.
Good afternoon, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com. The sewing thread is still shaped like an ordinary thread, only a little thicker. So with the description you are conveying, especially with the fact that you cannot distinguish whether it is yarn or not, chances are it is not yarn.
So it is possible that it is the uterine tissue that is the remnants of your labor that have not had time to come out, or is an abnormal vaginal discharge due to bacterial or fungal infections, and possibly other conditions depending on how the actual appearance of the object.
But regardless of anything, green discharge and vaginal itching is a symptom of the disease. So our advice is that you should check your condition with an obstetrician to be sure. Your obstetrician will do a history to find out what risk factors you have, a physical examination by looking directly into your vaginal canal, and possibly an ultrasound support if necessary. The handling you will receive later depends on the results of this inspection.
Meanwhile, there is no need to worry too much. Avoid sexual relations first, do not use pants and underpants that are too tight, avoid using soap or vaginal cleansers especially scented, clean genitals from front to back, and immediately consult a doctor. So, hopefully answering your question.
