Hi Vitanya .. Thank you for the question given.
In the normal delivery process, when it is approaching delivery time, contractions will occur. The contractions during labor, the longer the frequency, the more frequent, the increased intensity, and the longer the duration. Apart from contractions, other signs of childbirth are: pain in the back, cramps or pain in the stomach, rupture of the membranes, mucus mixed with blood from the vagina. In addition, there is also a widening of the cervix which is called an opening. Opening 2 is still the initial opening, and up to opening 10 (complete) takes a different amount of time. For mothers who are pregnant for the first time, the time needed is longer than for mothers who have been pregnant before. When there is an opening, the contractions become more regular. After entering opening 4 the mother will be closely observed. Even though the mother does not feel any pain, she remains careful and does not forget to go back to the doctor a few hours afterward to assess how far the opening has been. The doctor will conduct a fetal well-being check by assessing the fetal heart rate, duration of contractions, and maternal blood pressure.
