I’m Riza, I want to ask if we take a pregnancy test during the fertile period (before late menstruation) will the results be different from when we are late for menstruation.
Thank you for the question. A pregnancy test is a test that functions to detect the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) which is formed in the body when pregnancy occurs. A pregnancy test can be in the form of a testpack or blood test. Tests that are done before menstruation is late may be different from tests that are done after menstruation is late because if this test is done too soon, this test is usually not able to give a positive result. If you do a blood test, usually pregnancy will be detected earlier than using a testpack. If you have done the first test with a testpack before your period is late because there is a possibility of pregnancy and have a negative result, you are still advised to repeat the test until you experience a delay in menstruation for 1 week. This test can be repeated again with an interval of at least 1 week if you still haven't menstruated.
