Preparations For Action To Exclude Kalazion?
Hello a few days ago I once asked about staples in the eyes. and it turns out that I have Kalazion. roughly what should I prepare before the action to issue a kalazion? Does the process of action take a lot of time? thank you
Good morning, thanks for the question
Kalazion is an inflammation of the eyelid that is the meibomian gland or the zeis gland in the eyelid. Dense lumps on the eyelids will generally enlarge slowly. Kalazion nodule incision action can be done if the complaint has disturbed vision.
Kalazion incisions are generally done under local anesthesia. There is no specific preparation if planned action with local anesthesia, but you should submit a history of treatment in the past 1 month or a history of previous allergies to the anesthetic.
Kalazion incision procedure itself takes 10-15 minutes because it is not classified as a major operation, if totaled with preparation and anesthesia time it takes about 30-45 minutes. Post-action is advised not to rub the eyes, do not use contact lenses, do not touch the water to the eye when bathing, not swimming, and do not use cosmetics around the eyes for 1 month.
Post-injury injuries will usually heal within 7-10 days. Regular control with an ophthalmologist is needed to assess the post-treatment healing process.
That's all, hope you can help.
