Procedure In EEG Action?
Can EEG use health insurance?
EEG or electro encephalography is an examination to record electrical wave activity in the brain. EEG examination is performed to determine the brain's electricity in medical conditions that are suspected of being related to the brain or the electrical activity of the brain, for example in cases of epilepsy.
What health insurance do you use? Is it BPJS or other insurance? For BPJS, EEG examination can be borne by BPJS as long as it meets the requirements, namely a tiered examination from Health Facility 1 and in accordance with EEG indications. The examination is usually not borne by the BPJS if the examination is carried out without indication or at the request of the patient and the patient's own family.
I suggest that you ask the BPJS officer directly at your registered location or at your first health facility (health facilities 1) about the procedure for using the BPJS. Meanwhile, if you use other insurance, it would be more appropriate if you ask the insurance officer directly yes.
Hope it helps you,
