Prolonged Cold Cough Accompanied By Hearing Loss?
I’m still 15 years old. But I have often had a cold cough for almost 2 years. Cough and runny nose have clogged up the hearing system. The mucus is sometimes thick and sometimes liquid. Stop often but only last a few days and then come back. Why is that?
Good morning, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Cough colds that occur for a long time, can arise due to several possibilities, including:
Chronic bronchitis Asthma Sinusitis Chronic allergic rhinitis
There are various kinds of triggers from the causes above, can be due to dust, stress, cigarette smoke, viral infections, immune system disorders and so forth. Our advice, you should check your condition at a general practitioner first to see where it might be. Your doctor will dig up your medical history and do a brief physical examination to see his tendencies. The treatment will be determined later whether it can be direct, or you need a specialist doctor, whether it's from a lung doctor or ENT doctor.
In the meantime, try you also to recall whether there are things that can aggravate your complaints, such as lack of sleep, fatigue, cold air, eating certain foods, and so forth. If there is a trigger, avoid it as much as possible. Increase consumption of warm water, stay away from cigarette smoke, maintain ideal body weight, adequate rest, and exercise swimming if possible. So, hopefully answering your question.
