Prolonged Cough Up To 1.5 Months?
Afternoon r nI want to ask … but sorry it was a bit long before. R nI had a cough for about 1.5 months before I thought a normal cough would heal quickly … so I just took medicine bought at the pharmacy. But my cough is accompanied by fever (sometimes), digestive problems (but sometimes), and weight loss … my type of cough is a dry cough. Then I checked with the midwife near the house … the cough subsided quite a bit, but when 2 days of the medicine ran out I coughed worse with only a few seconds of coughing distance. The midwife ordered to check sputum if the medicine ran out but there was no change. I ended up being an ENT doctor … and the doctor asked me to stay away. Then I was given a prescription but to drink it after rongent and I obeyed. After taking the medicine I felt no fever. Digestion is starting to be good but the cough is still not healed just a little bit subsided. 5 days later I came to the same doctor again and brought the results of the ronget. The doctor said I only had mild sinus so the prescription was still the same. What I want to ask if I came to the right doctor I mean an ENT doctor … or I have to come to another doctor. Please help doctor … thank you
Coughing is the body's reaction in an effort to defend itself against foreign objects or it can also be part of a symptom of a disease.
Although when coughing, the airway is most predominantly affected, the cause of coughing does not always come from airway disorders but can be from digestive tract disorders or even other systemic diseases.
If you experience improvement in symptoms, this is an indicator of successful therapy. So in this case you are right to come to the ENT doctor.
However, if the cough still doesn't stop, there may be a problem in another system, such as acid reflux disease. In this case, ENT doctors are very good at the course of the disease and can provide complete therapy.
May be useful,
