Prolonged Fever And Headache During Typhus

Hello, two weeks ago I was diagnosed with typhus with the results of the H 1/320 typhy lab then was hospitalized and allowed to go home with the H 1/80 typhy lab results. But until now I sometimes still feel dizzy and fever, especially late at night. I am also still taking antibiotics and paracetamol. There are no other complaints besides that. Is it normal to still have a fever after 2 weeks? thank you

Hello Nindya, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Typhus or typhoid fever is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Salmonella typhii. Typhus treatment takes place in 1-2 weeks and the body's recovery process can take 1 to 3 months after treatment is complete, but it depends on one's endurance. By increasing the body's resistance the healing and recovery process can run faster.
Apart from fever infection can also occur due to the body's lack of fluids. Therefore, during the recovery process, make sure you drink enough water, which is at least 8 glasses each day.
For that, some things you can do are:
Eat healthy and nutritious foods, multiply fruits and vegetables
Drink enough
Rest 7-8 hours every day
Regular exercise
Avoid cigarettes and alcohol
Manage stress well
Take medications regularly as directed by your doctor
If the complaint continues or is considered burdensome, return to your doctor immediately for further treatment.
So, hopefully useful.
