Prolonged Menstruation And Blood Clots?
amu’alaikum. Before marriage my menstrual cycle was irregular, after taking birth control pills when I was married I always got my period on the 14th.rnI got married last June 17, 2017, when the first night I took birth control pills. In October 2017 I stopped taking birth control pills on the last day of my period, which was 18 October (mens 14 October). But on October 22, I had my period again.rnThen in November 2017 I still got my period on the 14th. Then in December I didn’t menstruate, I did the TP on December 13th the result was negative, on the 17th, the 21st, on the 28th I did the TP but the result is still negative.rnOn January 2nd, how come I got my period, I think it’s normal because my TP is negative.rnBut the problem is, how come my menses took so long? From the 2nd to today, January 20th, I’m still menstruating, the problem is that the menstrual blood looks like a clot, like chicken liver. It’s normal for me to be like that at the most on the third day of menstruation. But now how come it’s been a long time since my period the blood still clots? Why y.
Thanks for the question…
Complaints in the form of menstrual blood that comes out about 2 weeks, with irregular menstrual cycles can be caused by several things, where to confirm it requires a history (doctor-patient question and answer), physical examination, and if necessary supporting examinations such as urine tests, blood tests, ultrasound . Here are some of the possibilities:
· Ovarian Cyst
· Side effects of using certain contraceptive methods
It would be nice to explore the underlying cause of your complaint, consult a General Practitioner or Gynecologist so that the appropriate treatment can be given.
Suggestions to do:
· Consume healthy food regularly
· Manage stress
· Maintain intimate organ hygiene
Thus the explanation that we can convey, may be useful.
