Hello, I am a 35-year-old IRT with 4 children. with a height of 155cm BB I go up and down. when I am 60 kg, my period is regularly around 10 days clean. Nov ’18 menstruation lasts 2 clean weeks after 2 months of no menstruation. BB is now 69kg, menstruation since 17 December ’18 till now 7th January ’19 has not stopped, and does not look reduced. I don’t feel any stomach aches and do activities like normal, even though I feel weak, tired and tired. I wonder if overweight is causing menstruation this time for long …? Thank you in advance.
Menstruation itself is the discharge of blood from the vagina that is generally experienced once a month. Menstrual cycles generally occur every 4 weeks (28 days), but are still said to be normal if they occur in the range of 21 to 35 days.
Abnormalities in the menstrual cycle need to be considered if experiencing the following:
Menstruation occurs more than 7 days.
Menstrual cycles occur fast (<21 days) or slow (> 35 days)
Bleeding occurs outside the menstrual cycle
Menstruation with a large volume of blood, often changing pads within a period of several hours.
Menstruation with intense pain intensity.
If things happen outside the normal / normal menstrual cycle, it can be caused by several possibilities such as hormonal disorders, disorders of the female reproductive organs, or possibly injury to the area of the female reproductive organs.
In such conditions if menstruation has lasted more than 7 days with symptoms of weakness, it is advisable to consult with an obstetrician to find the cause of menstrual abnormalities. There may be blood tests, and imaging such as ultrasound to determine further treatment and management. Temporarily avoid activities that are too heavy, if heavy bleeding occurs immediately come to the emergency room.
Hopefully this information helps you,
