Prolonged Pain In The Neck To The Shoulders That Feels Stiff?
Good night, sorry I want to ask, I’m 15 years old, from the shoulder to the back of my neck, the pain doesn’t heal, it’s been over 5 months, it’s stiff, why do you think so?
Good evening, thanks for the question
Complaints of neck or back pain with sufficiently severe intensity may be a symptom of Tension Type Headache (TTH) or chronic tension type headaches. This type of headache is often associated with an increase in stress, one of which may be an increase in stomach acid conditions. This stress condition causes stiffness in the muscles of the head, neck, shoulders, and head vascularization resulting in quite disturbing headaches.
The diagnosis is based on the typical symptoms above, while physical examination is generally not found abnormalities.
If at present the headache still often appears with a greater intensity, then do further consultations with your doctor. While at home you can take simple analgesics to reduce complaints of severe headaches, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen.
In addition, if back head pain is accompanied by high fever, convulsions, visual disturbances, limb weakness, or speech disorders, then immediately do a direct examination with a doctor to rule out possible interference with the nerves in the head.
That's all, hope you can help.
