Hello Susi, Thank you for the question.
Prickly heat is a small, red, itchy or stinging rash that anyone can experience after exposure to hot temperatures. Prickly heat occurs when the sweat glands become blocked so that the body's sweat gets trapped in them and causes a local inflammatory reaction. In general, prickly origin does not require special handling. What you can do is avoid exposure to hot air and wear loose, sweat-absorbing clothing. If signs of infection do appear, the doctor will usually provide treatment in the form of topical antibiotics or tablets depending on the severity. Please consult your doctor again if there is no improvement for 2 weeks because the doctor needs to re-examine the skin rash that happened to you. The treatment that the doctor will recommend will be adjusted with this examination. Consumption of certain foods is not associated with prickly heat.
