Prone Fetal Position At 31 Weeks Gestation?
night. r nI want to ask, I just finished the ultrasound, my pregnancy is 31 weeks, but the position of my child is lying on his stomach, it’s dangerous, then what should I do so that his position is supine?
Hello Eka, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
The position of the baby in the womb can continue to change and rotate until the gestational age reaches 34 weeks. The position will have settled and will not change again entering the gestational age of 36 weeks. The position of the baby facing forward or facing backwards will not really affect the delivery process. What is more important to note is whether the baby's head is below or above (breech). If your baby's head is still up, you can consult your obstetrician or midwife.
If your baby is in a breech position, your obstetrician or midwife can teach you certain exercises that can help rotate the baby's head. This exercise is done by doing a prostration position and lifting the buttocks higher, or it can also be done by lying in a flat position and lifting the hips approximately 20 cm from the floor and propping up with a pillow. Doing these two positions for 15 minutes 2 times a day can help turn your baby's head into a breech again. Before doing this, consult your doctor or midwife to make sure you are well enough to do so.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
