Rash On Facial Skin That Feels Sore And Slightly Itchy?
Hello, I have had a rash on my face for quite a long time, the skin looks reddish, dry and itchy, what do I think about the pain and what kind of handling is it? Thank you
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
A reddish rash that feels dry and itchy on the facial skin can indicate a fungal infection, one of which is tinea versicolor. This condition occurs due to Malassezia fungal infection of the skin. This infection is prone to occur in those who have oily skin types, live in moist environments, adolescents or young adults, sweat frequently, have low immunity, and are also undergoing hormonal changes. Typically, skin rashes due to tinea versicolor will be reddish, look dry and scaly, feel itchy, and often have a whitish color on the middle side.
In addition to tinea versicolor, you may also experience a rash due to other causes, for example a bacterial infection (such as impetigo, prickly heat), viral infections (such as chicken pox), contact dermatitis (skin inflammation due to contact with an allergen or irritant), psoriasis (chronic skin inflammation due to autoimmune disorders), serboroic dermatitis (skin inflammation that causes flaky and scaly skin like dandruff), xerosis (dry skin), and so on.
Handling of a condition like yours can vary depending on what caused it. Therefore, you should check with your doctor first so that it is clear what the cause is. If necessary, your doctor may refer you to a dermatologist and genitalia specialist.
In the meantime, it is advisable not to scratch or exfoliate the skin rash that appears. Wash your face 2 times a day using a mild cleansing soap containing salicylic acid. Protect your face from exposure to sunlight and too much pollution. Expand to drink 8 to 10 glasses per day. Also eat lots of vegetables and fruit to maintain healthy skin. Finally, don't stay up late and stay away from cigarettes.
Hope this helps ..
