Recommendations For Taking Hormone And Glutamine Drugs?
, I want to ask. I went to the doctor for an obstetric check because I was 3 months late for my period. Then the doctor opened a prescription for 10 tablets of Primolut N and 10 caplets of Glutrop to break my period. But the medicine bag was not marked with the medicine being taken after eating or before eating and I forgot to ask the pharmacist. Please help explain about the recommended drinking. thank you
Hello good afternoon Diana.
Primolut N is a drug that contains norethisterone, which is a synthetic progesterone hormone. Norethisterone is commonly used for conditions of late menstruation, bleeding, regulating menstrual times (for example, for people who are going to Umrah/pilgrimage), breast cancer, etc. This medicine can be taken either before or after meals.
While Glutrop is a supplement that contains L-glutamine to meet the body's needs for amino acids (that is, a form of protein) that functions to maintain immunity or endurance. This medicine should be taken on an empty stomach, i.e. half an hour before eating, or between the time after eating and before going to bed.
Hope it helps.
Regards, dr. Denisa
