Red Bumps On The Skin After A Cat Flea Bite?
Recently I was bitten by a cat flea, it was clear that the fleas were stuck on my body and immediately after that, red bumps appeared. I went to the doctor, but only glimpsed the doctor, then I was given Medscab. To my opinion, isn’t Medscab for Scabies? Is this the right treatment? R n r nThen, can the cat flea bite disappear / are there any cases where the scars don’t go away?
Hello Udin, Thank you for the question.
Insect or parasite bites (such as animal fleas) on the skin can cause a local inflammatory reaction that causes the skin to become red, swollen, sore, and itchy. Medscab is a trademark of a drug containing permethrin which is used to treat scabies / scabies and head lice. Scabies / scabies is a skin infection caused by the mite Sarkoptes scabiei which causes an itchy red rash that can become an ulcer. This mite will get into the skin that is lodged under the skin and cause symptoms of an itchy red rash due to the body's reaction to the mite's protein and feces.
Insect bite marks that cause local inflammation can leave scars in the form of a darker skin discoloration (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation). What you can do to prevent this is to avoid scratching the area if it feels itchy because scratching the skin can aggravate the inflammatory condition.
If you have doubts about the doctor's treatment, you can consult another doctor for a second opinion. The doctor needs to do an examination of the skin rash that you mean to find out the cause and then will determine the next treatment.
Hope this information is useful.
