, my eyes experience redness when I wake up and swollen also runny. I already gave the yellow Cendo Xitrol Minidose drops, but that only removes the red. And swollen eyes and sometimes pain still does not disappear too. Sometimes if I just sit or lie down it starts to runny, and my nerves hurt too. If the doctor says I can’t get dust or wind, but because I’m in school I’m reluctant to take time off. Because my body doesn’t hurt I still go to school. How do you handle this further?

1 Answer:

Hello Vina,

Are your eye drops given by a doctor? These eye drops contain corticosteroids and antibiotics, namely dexamethasone, neomycin sulfate, and polymyxin B sulfate. The function of eye drops is for cases of infection and inflammation in the eye, for example conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis, scleritis. Eye drops containing corticosteroids and antibiotics should only be used by prescription from a doctor and under a doctor's supervision.

Your complaints are red, swollen, watery, and sometimes painful, is it also accompanied by a sharp decrease in vision / blurred eyes and glare? Complaints that you feel can be caused by conjunctivitis, eye irritation, dry eyes, tired eyes, keratitis, corneal ulcers, danglaukoma.

Did the doctor who checked you say you have conjunctivitis? Conjunctivitis is inflammation of the conjunctival membrane of the eye that can be caused due to allergies, viral infections, bacteria, or irritation. Symptoms of conjunctivitis are red, itchy, watery eyes, there is eye discharge, and glare. Management of conjunctivitis depends on the cause, one of which can be with eye drops containing corticosteroids and antibiotics as prescribed for you.

How many days have you experienced this complaint? For now you can try doing the following tips first:

Use eye drops as directed by your doctor Do not rub your eyes Wash hands before and after giving eye drops If there is eye dirt can be cleaned gently with sterile gauze soaked in clean water Do not wear contact lenses for a while Use eye protection such as glasses when outside the house If you are already wearing eye drops for 3-5 days but the complaints have not improved or if there are complaints about a sharp decrease in vision, I suggest that you control again with the doctor who treats you so that you can re-evaluate the condition of your eyes and current treatment results. Furthermore, doctors can provide additional treatment if needed yes.

Hope it helps you,

Thank you
