Red Spots Appear Inside The Nails Suddenly?
From kmrn my fingernails there are red spots like they are injured / pinched. In fact, I don’t really care …. it’s on 3 fingers. I wonder why?
Hello Dwiani, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
Red spots under the nails are also called splinter hemorrhages. This splinter hemorrhage can occur because the capillaries (the smallest blood vessels) under the nail are damaged or broken due to certain causes. The most common cause of splinter hemorrhage is injury to the nail, such as a pinched or impacted nail. However, splinter hemorrhage can also be a sign of other, more serious diseases, for example:
bacterial endocarditis (infection of the inner lining of the heart / endocardium)
vasculitis or inflammation of the blood vessels
fungal infection of the nails
and so forth
If you do not experience any of the other symptoms that accompany the splinter hemorrhage on your nails, then you can observe the bleeding in advance. In general, the bleeding under the nail will go away on its own within a few months as the nail grows. However, if you experience other symptoms accompanying bleeding in the nails, for example, you have fever, weight loss, chest pain, pain in the whole body, flu-like pain, bone and joint pain, skin rash, etc. You see your doctor for further evaluation of your condition.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
