Red Spots On The Head Of The Penis That Feels Sore When Exposed To Water?
Good morning, I’m a 21-year-old man, 2 days ago on the head of my penis, exactly near where the urine comes out, there is a red sphere and if you hit the water or urinate it feels painful / aching and the red sphere is always wet so if it’s dry it sticks the underpants will be very painful if touched and released., Is this herpes? Then what should I do? Buy antiviral medication or just need to be given gel?
Good afternoon, thanks for the question
Complaints of sores or ulcers in the genital area can be caused by infectious or non-infectious conditions. Herpes simplex virus and syphilis are the two most common causes of genital ulcers. Other causes of infection are lymphogranuloma venereum, granuloma inguinale, secondary bacterial infections, or fungal infections. While non-infectious causes such as psoriasis, sexual trauma, or eruption of allergic drugs.
Related to genital herpes infection, complaints of ulcers in the form of fluid-filled nodules are multiple, not painful, but if they rupture, they will cause pain. Whereas in syphilis there will be a total number of ulcers around the genitals, ulcers appear clean, painless, and well-defined.
To confirm the diagnosis and determine what treatment is appropriate, the doctor needs to assess directly the existing ulcer, look for risk factors including prior sexual behavior, to additional examinations to help establish the diagnosis. Drug therapy will be different in each diagnosis, so you should immediately conduct an examination with a dermatologist for further evaluation. Avoid taking certain drugs without a doctor's examination before because of the risk of wrong indication to the wrong dose.
That's all, hope you can help.
