Redness Of The Skin Accompanied By Pain When Pressed Rigidly?
, I want to ask. Last night, suddenly the tip of my left middle finger hurt but was not injured. There are no lumps but the color turns red. If pressed pain, but if touched it feels stiff. How,?
Hello Adelia, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
The presence of reddish color on the skin accompanied by pain when pressed and felt stiff (which may indicate the presence of swelling in the surrounding tissue) is a sign of inflammation in your finger. Inflammation can occur due to anything, such as an injury to the skin (punctured or scratched), insect bites or other small animals, injury to bones and problems in the joints, nails that pierce into the fingers (sticks), etc. If indeed the pain that you experience is only felt on the skin, the only possible cause is injury to the skin or the bite of insects / other small animals. Sometimes injuries to the skin can not be seen with the eyes (or called microtrauma), but inflammation under the skin can still occur due to sores and foreign substances that enter the skin.
For now, try washing your hands well with soap, if you see redness and swelling, try to soak / compress with cold compresses. You can do it 10-15 minutes several times a day. It is better not to press too much or touch with your hands that have not been washed so that no bacteria can enter if you have microtrauma on your skin. If in the next 2-3 days your fingers look more swollen and painful, you should consult a doctor directly.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
