Hello, Thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Burns are burns caused by heat that vary in severity from redness, peeling skin, blisters to blackened skin. The sufferer will feel pain in this burn and it is not uncommon for the wound to swell.
MEBO (moist exposed burn ointment) is an ointment containing Radix scutellariae, Cortex phellodendri, Rhizoma coptidis, sesame oil, and beeswax, which are widely used to treat burns. This ointment is believed to promote skin regeneration and reduce pain. Your wife can apply this ointment over the blister / bubble. Avoid breaking these skin blisters. If the skin blister breaks please advise your wife to clean the wound with clean gauze. Open wounds can be cleaned with normal saline (intravenous fluids). This ointment can be applied to the wound and then please cover the wound with gauze. After the blister breaks, make sure that the wound is dry and clean. Avoid exposure to water.
Hope this information is helpful.
