Regarding The Use Of Corticosteroids To Whiten The Skin?
Hello Cyntia, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Corticosteroids are a class of drugs that have anti-inflammatory effects where topical corticosteroids are only recommended for use based on doctor's advice for certain skin conditions that have inflammation such as dermatitis.
This drug does have a strong enough potential to make the skin color white, but this potential is not recommended for use as an ingredient to whiten the skin because the long-term side effects are more dangerous than the whitening effect that can be given such as thinning of the skin, acne formation, fungal / bacterial infections of the skin, or permanent skin pigment (color) disorders.
For its own regulations in Indonesia regarding its use as a topical medication already exists, but for its use as a skin whitening lotion until now it is not recommended but for specific rules of manufacture you can ask further in the pharmacology section.
I hope this helps.
