Hello Widya! Thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
PCOS or polycystic ovary syndrome is a condition where the ovaries are larger than normal and have more follicles, at least 12 follicles. The ovary or ovary is a pair of glands on each right and left side of the uterus. Each ovary produces eggs and various hormones. The release of an egg from the ovary is called ovulation. Before being released, an egg develops in the follicle. To determine the occurrence of PCOS, not all criteria must be met. If your ultrasound shows polycystic results and is proven from laboratory results that your hormones are disturbed, you can already be said to have PCOS without any irregular menstrual symptoms. You could have been menstruating regularly, but ovulation does not occur every month. This may cause you are not yet pregnant.
PCOS is a common disorder, about 1 in 10 women experience PCOS. PCOS cannot be cured, but can be controlled. Your obstetrician may give you several types of medication for you to take. You need to consume these drugs regularly according to the instructions of the doctor so that the hormones in your body can run in balance again. In addition, you should lose weight if you are overweight. Excessive body weight can make insulin more difficult to use, so the level of the hormone insulin in the blood increases. This increased insulin level also affects the occurrence of PCOS. You can also discuss further with your obstetrician about the best way so you can immediately get offspring. The chances of you getting pregnant can also increase if you lose weight. Try to choose foods that are healthier for your diet and do regular physical activity for at least 30 minutes per day.
That's all information from me. I hope this helps.
