Regular Menstruation In People With PCOS?
I am 25th and weigh 46kg and have a diagnosis of PCOS. If I put my bb down, my BB is just under BMI. My question is, Can PCOS recur again the following year? And what is the normal level of LH FSH in a woman’s body during the second menstrual day?
Hello Widya, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Menstrual disorders are indeed the most common symptoms found in people with PCOS, but PCOS itself can be diagnosed if you have 2 other symptoms of PCOS, namely symptoms of excess androgen hormones (for example, you have excessive facial and body hair, acne, or baldness) and on examination found an enlarged ovary accompanied by follicles that surround the egg.
PCOS itself is a disease that cannot be cured. Management for PCOS is more focused on disturbing symptoms in each individual, such as infertility, excessive hair growth, acne, obesity / overweight. Disruptive symptoms can recur at any time if treatment is stopped or lifestyle changes occur again.
At the beginning of the menstrual cycle the normal LH and FSH levels will be more or less the same, ranging from 5-20 mIU / mL (you need to know that the normal values for each laboratory can be different). PCOS sufferers can have normal LH and FSH values, but in general PCOS sufferers find LH values that are very high compared to FSH values.
You should consult your condition again with the obstetrician who treats you.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
