Relationship Between UTI, Menstruation And Pregnancy?
,, I end of November exposed to UTI for the second time (the first of 2017). After I was treated u0026amp; UTI recovered, why I haven’t menstruated again until today? and the result + but I do not feel the symptoms of pregnancy such as morning sickness, nausea / dizziness. Honestly, I have not been to the obstetrician because I am afraid of being disappointed. Positive Testpack but not pregnant? Or is the testpack error / inaccurate? Please clarify the doc. Thanks
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically, the test pack has an accuracy of 99% when done the right way and is done after you experience menstrual delays. Therefore, if you do your test pack in the right way (you follow all the instructions of using the test pack properly, you use the first urine in the morning for examination), chances are that the results you get are the right results (you are right- really pregnant). It is true that you say that certain conditions such as UTIs can cause false positive test pack results (although this is very rare). However, if indeed you have received treatment for your UTI and the doctor has stated that you have recovered from your UTI, then you do not need to worry about the results of your test pack being wrong because the UTI (because your UTI has recovered).
Other symptoms of pregnancy such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, etc. should not always be felt by every woman. In addition, these symptoms are only commonly felt around the 6th week of pregnancy. If you are still in doubt, you can try to do a pregnancy check up with a blood test (examination of hCG in the blood) to find out more certain whether you are pregnant or not. You can also do a direct obstetrician's examination to confirm your pregnancy with ultrasound.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
