Replace Lenses Without Changing Eyeglass Frames?
I want to ask. My right eye is 0.75 min and my left is 1.25 in 2017. And I have checked my eyes again, apparently rising. so right 1.25 left 1.75. is it possible if I just replace the lens with a fixed eyeglass frame. and whether the cost will be cheaper?
Hello Angelia, Thank you for the question.
Minus the eyes are visual impairments that cause blurred vision when looking at objects that are far away. Minus the eye is caused by the shape of the cornea of the eye that is too convex or the size of the eyeball that is too long so that light objects that enter the eye do not fall right on the retina but in front of the retina. Thus, when you see an object at a distance, the object is out of focus. To overcome the minus eye, you can use glasses or contact lenses. In addition, if you want to deal with this condition more permanently, you can undergo a LASIK, LASEK, or photorefractive keratotomy procedure.
If you use glasses and experience changes in minus eye size, you can replace only the lens of the glasses, no need to always replace the glasses frame if the frame is still good to use. Of course the cost will be cheaper than you replacing the frame and eyeglass lenses. Make sure you undergo this examination with an eye specialist so that the results of the examination are correct.
Please also do the following suggestions to help eye health:

adjust the room lighting so it is comfortable for the eyes
adjust the lighting of the computer or electronic device that you are using to make it comfortable for the eyes
check your eye health regularly to an ophthalmologist
Hopefully this information is useful.
