Results Of An Ultrasound Examination At 7 Months Of Pregnancy?
I was out of ultrasound, my pregnancy was 7 months right and the results were 1209g efw and fl 5.12cm is it normal?
Good evening, thanks for the question
On ultrasound examination during pregnancy to assess the growth and health of the baby in general, one of which is by measuring the length of the baby's femur in the womb (femur length / FL). A below normal femur length value can indicate a fetus experiencing dwarfism, disturbance to the placenta, or other congenital abnormalities so that further investigation is needed. At 28 weeks gestation the normal FL value is in the range of 55-56 mm, while the estimated infant weight (estimated fetal weight / EFW) is around 1300-1400 grams. In your case it does not mean that the value is less than normal because the ultrasound examination cannot be 100% accurate, but if the value is far below average then further evaluation needs to be done. Carry out further consultations with your obstetrician regarding this condition. No less important at this time is to increase nutrition and food intake to support fetal development and routinely check for pregnancy with a doctor.
That's all, hope you can help.
