Right Breast Pain When Breastfeeding?
Hello … I am now breastfeeding, my child is 10 months old … I am taking a 3 month birth control program. And for 3 months I did not menstruate … At night I woke up, my breast was very painful in the right breast … Is this pain just an ordinary thing when breastfeeding … Or how
How long and how many times have you felt that? How is the condition of your breasts? Pain in the breast, especially during the breastfeeding period, is normal. This might be caused by:
Infections, known as mastitis. Abrasions which then become inflamed. Swelling and blockage of the mammary gland ducts. Changes in hormonal balance. Watch for redness, tenderness and swelling in the breast. You can try warm compresses on painful breasts. Breastfeeding can still be done, as long as you don't feel too painful. If after a few days the pain does not go away, or it gets worse, go to your doctor. The doctor will adjust the therapy with physical findings.
Hopefully this short answer is quite helpful. Regards.
