Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
First of all, I want to confirm beforehand, is there an IgM test in addition to the IgG test as well? If there is, did you not include it because it was negative?
Basically, positive IgG only indicates that you have experienced Rubella and CMV infections. It is not clear if the infection occurred in the past (before you were pregnant) or has just happened. If the IgM test results are negative, then it is quite certain that the infection has occurred in the past. Under these conditions, the positive IgG is harmless and does not require any therapy. A past history of infection will not affect your current pregnancy and fetus. Disorders of pregnancy and fetus can only occur if the infection occurs during pregnancy or immediately before the occurrence of pregnancy. Tonsillectomy also does not affect the IgG results being positive.
You should bring the results of the examination back to the obstetrician who asks for an examination. Obstetricians can see the results of the laboratory examination thoroughly to analyze your condition better. If necessary, the obstetrician can request additional laboratory examinations.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
