Sorry bro, I asked, my child is 4 months old, but there is a Posyandu U Rubella program which I ask how is it with my child, whose current condition is taking TB medication that is consumed every month if rubella vaccine is injected is it not dangerous for my child. Thank you
MR immunization is useful for preventing measles and rubella. In August and September 2018 an MR immunization campaign was carried out. MR immunization during this campaign is carried out for all children aged 9 months to less than 15 years.
In general, there are 2 provisions for immunization contraindications, namely children allergic to vaccine components, and children who are experiencing severe acute illness with or without fever.
For MR immunization, MR immunization should not be given to pregnant women, children who are allergic to MR vaccine components, have severe kidney function disorders, undergo immunosuppressant therapy (eg corticosteroids and rdiotherapy), leukemia, and severe heart failure. MR immunization should be postponed when the child has fever, diarrhea, and a severe cold cough.
Giving TB drugs or other antibiotics generally does not interfere with the work of the vaccine, so immunizations can still be done while the child is on antibiotic treatment (as long as there are no contraindications as above). However, I suggest that you consult directly with your pediatrician or with the doctor in charge of immunization regarding the condition of your child who is currently on TB treatment, whether you can receive MR immunization or postpone it first.
