Hello. I want to ask if taking aspirin with ranitidine 150 mg, cefixime 200 mg and sucralfate is safe?

1 Answer:

Good morning, thanks for the question

Aspirin and other NSAID class of pain medications if taken in excessive amounts and in the long run can cause injury to bleeding in the gastric mucosa wall. Therefore if without clear medical indications you should avoid taking aspirin and similar anti-pain medications. If it is needed then it should also be consumed along with other additional treatments, such as antacids and other stomach acid blockers. Ranitidine is an H2 blocker class of drugs that works to indirectly suppress excess stomach acid production. Whereas sucralfate works as a protector of irritated gastric mucosa. We recommend that you take about 30 minutes to take gastric and anti-pain medication, where stomach medicine should be taken before meals. While cefixime which is a class of antibiotics is safe to consume together with these drugs after eating.

That's all, hope you can help.
Wassalam.
