Can folavit be taken together with vitamin B6, and twice a day
Good evening, thanks for the question
Folavit is a supplement containing 400 mcg of folic acid. Folic acid has many benefits, ranging from helping the process of DNA production to the formation of red blood cells. In addition, folic acid is important during the early stages of fetal development because it is needed in the formation of the fetal central nervous system.
While vitamin B6 or pyridoxine is a micronutrient that is very important for the function of blood, skin, and central nervous system. In pregnancy the provision of vitamin B6 is useful for dealing with morming sickness.
The need for folic acid for adults per day is 400 mcg, whereas for pregnant women the need is greater, 400-800 mcg per day. While the need for vitamin B6 for adults is 1.5 mg per day. Both supplements can be taken together.
Aside from additional supplementation, both can be obtained from high nutritious food intake. Vitamin B6 is found in sweet potatoes, chicken liver, chicken or beef, eggs, salmon and tuna, nuts, avocados, bananas, carrots, spinach, milk, and cheese. Folic acid is also widely contained in green vegetables, such as spinach, broccoli, and lettuce, nuts, such as peas, fruits, such as melons, bananas, and lemons.
That's all, hope you can help
