Safe Formula Milk For 3 Months Baby?
I want to ask my child who is over 3 months old but the milk he consumes is milk aged 6 months and over, is it safe?
The best food and drink for babies aged 0-6 months is breast milk. Therefore I recommend that you only give breast milk to your baby until the age of 6 months. If for some reason breast milk cannot be given exclusively, then you can give formula milk that is appropriate for the baby's age.
Formula milk is usually given additional fortification of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients to support the growth and development of children. Fortification will be adjusted to the child's age, nutritional needs, and also calorie needs. That's why milk producers make several levels of formula milk with age levels.
In addition, infants under 6 months of age also have an immature digestive tract. It is highly recommended that the formula given is special formula milk for the age of 0-6 months. If given formula milk for the above age, it is feared that the fortification is not in accordance with the child's needs. It would be better if you consult with your pediatrician first before giving formula milk to children under 6 months of age. And don't give up trying to breastfeed your child.
