Safety Of Coffee Consumption For People With Stomach Acid?
I was diagnosed with stomach acid some time ago. Yesterday I drank tea, my stomach acid immediately recurred like nausea, coughing, like catching a cold like that … then at a different time I drank black coffee but it didn’t matter either … even though seen from the many milliliters that I drink, there are still a lot of coffee than tea. Does that mean I am safe to drink black coffee?
hello .. thanks for the question ..
Gastric acid disease is a condition in which some muscles in the gastrointestinal tract, namely between the stomach and esophagus, do not function properly, causing stomach acid to rise into the esophagus which causes heartburn, a burning sensation in the chest. in addition, symptoms of stomach acid disease are also accompanied by nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. this condition is very often experienced and is arising which begins because of irregular eating habits. some of the risk factors for symptoms are overweight, high blood pressure, excessive consumption of fatty foods, consumption of coffee, tea, soft drinks and excessive alcohol. based on the situation you are experiencing, it is possible that when you consume empty stomach tea so that stomach acid increases rapidly and causes symptoms as described and when you consume coffee the stomach is already in a state of filling / not empty or after eating so it is okay even though some of the coffee is taken. but you should still be careful consumption of tea and coffee because these drinks can trigger increased stomach acid production, even though it does not cause effects / symptoms does not mean that coffee consumption will be safe if you have a history of stomach acid disease. things you can pay attention to and do to reduce the possibility of symptoms of stomach acid are:
small amounts of food consumption but often avoid foods that are too acidic, too spicy, fatty foods avoid the habit of lying / sleeping after eating eat avoid excessive consumption of coffee and tea and if you have to consume them the stomach must be in a state already filled with food. avoid alcoholic beverages and smoking consumption of herbal tea drinks, skim milk / low-weak milk, fruit juice that is not acidic, and drinking 2 liters of water / day can reduce stomach acid increases. weight control and stress control If someone who has stomach acid can control it as mentioned above, the possibility of complaints can be suppressed. but if it does not reduce complaints and aggravate to interfere with daily activities, you should check with a specialist in internal medicine for physical examination, gastrointestinal examination such as gastroscopy / endoscopy, or blood tests so the doctor can determine the right treatment.
that's all .. hopefully can help ..
