Seamed Wounds Hurt When Squatting?
Good night, 2 months ago I gave birth normally with external stitches in a lot, but until now if I was urinating or defecating, it still felt painful on the inside, what was the sign of what the medicine was, so it didn’t feel painful, thank you.
Hello Komariiah Arvii,
Normal delivery or vaginal delivery can cause tears in the birth canal in some cases up to the perineum (the area between the vagina and the anal canal). The duration of wound healing depends on the degree / severity of the tear. Grade 1 perineal tears are only limited to the skin and usually do not require suturing. 2nd degree perineal tears, involving the skin and muscles and need suturing. The wound generally heals completely within 2-3 weeks. Perineal tears of degree 3 or even degree 4 generally affect the anal muscles so that healing takes up to 1 month or even more. Defecation disorders can also be experienced by patients.
To reduce pain in the perineum after giving birth you can do the following:
Consumption of pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen Change panties after bathing Give a cold compress around the perineum Kegel exercises can help restore the condition of the pelvic muscles in the future If possible should consult a gynecologist directly, who knows if there are other causes apart from stitches after childbirth that causes your complaint. Infection in the genitals and genital trauma can also cause complaints of pain in the area, especially during intercourse. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
