Hello, r nI am a 24 year old woman, some days when I daydream / my eyes focus without blinking 2 times like seeing a black dot for a few seconds, but when I blink the dot disappears … when I try to do the same thing (daydreaming / refocuses the eyes) to make sure, the black dot doesn’t appear again alias doesn’t exist .. guess what the cause? Is this normal? R nThank you
Hello Novi, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
Seeing black dots in the field of vision can occur for many reasons, it can be a normal phenomenon, it can also occur due to certain diseases, the following are some of the causes:
photobleaching, which is the appearance of dark areas in the eye after seeing the bright light of a migraine aura, namely neurological symptoms that occur before the appearance of a seizure aura headache, namely neurological symptoms that precede seizures (usually in people with epilepsy) disorders of the vitreous eyeball (usually in the elderly) uveitis, which is inflammation of the uvea (a layer behind the eyeball) bleeding in the eye, retinal detachment, Toxoplasma infection in the eye after eye surgery If you are really bothered by these symptoms or these symptoms occur very often or the black spot in the eye does not disappear, you can get yourself checked by an eye doctor. The eye doctor can perform tests such as refraction, visual field, and ophthalmoscopy to see if there are any abnormalities in your eyeball.
If these symptoms only occur occasionally and do not bother you, then chances are you have nothing to worry about and are a normal phenomenon in the eye.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
