Seizure Twice Within A Distance Of 2 Months?
hello, I’m 16 years old, in late January I had a seizure, the seizure was the first time it had happened. that time before I didn’t eat breakfast, and didn’t eat any food until 10/11. then also exhausted from being punished by the teacher, then after that I fell down and went into convulsions. After checking, the doctor did not say there are serious symptoms. then in the end of March I experienced another seizure but I already felt like a change of mood, fear and difficulty breathing. the spasms lasted for 3 minutes and when I fell my head collided with a bump. after returning home my body had a fever and dizziness. What are the symptoms of epilepsy or normal seizures?
Good afternoon, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com. A spasm is a condition in which the body's muscles contract, or tighten and relax uncontrollably. The movements in the body come from brain signals, so if there is interference with this brain signal, seizures can occur.
Among the conditions that can cause interference with brain signals are:
Epilepsy Head injury Low blood sugar levels Brain infection Toxins Conversion disorders
So you can see, although seizures are often associated with epilepsy, in fact there are a number of other causes of seizures besides epilepsy. To find out, the information you have conveyed is not enough, it needs to be done in-depth examination including digging history, physical examination, and supporting examination to see whether there are brain waves that resemble epileptic waves or not. Therefore, we suggest that you check your condition with a neurologist. The handling you will receive later depends on the results of this inspection. If your neurologist says that you don't have a disorder but in the future this condition is repeated quite often, then you should check with your psychiatrist because there could be an influence of psychological disorders there.
In the meantime, make sure you always eat breakfast, and live a healthy lifestyle by staying away from smoking and stress, exercising regularly, multiply drinking water, and multiply the consumption of fruits and vegetables. So, hopefully answering your question.
