Seizures For 2 Days Did Not Take Narcotics?
I apologize in advance if it interferes with the doctor’s time, my friend has a seizure but his conscious power is still active, just because he doesn’t eat for almost 2 days because of taking narcotics. Is that the real thing? Please explain 🙏
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
First of all, you should clarify in advance, is what is used by your friends really narcotics drugs (drugs from the opioid group or substitution) or other illegal drugs? As mentioned above, narcotics specifically refers to drugs that have the effect of blunting and relieving pain. In general, the use of high doses of opioids will not cause seizures, so also breaking up the use of opioids (withdrawal) is also very, very rarely cause seizures. However, breaking up with opioids can cause heavy muscle tension that may look like a spasm. If the condition is true as you say (your friend does not eat for up to 2 days), seizures can be caused by hypoglycemia. If eating disorders have been chronically occurring (irregular eating, eating nutritious food for a very long time), seizures can also be caused by electrolyte disturbances.
If you are unsure of what drugs your friends are using (there is still a possibility that they are not narcotics / opioids), then other illegal drugs can directly cause seizures when used in high doses, or can cause seizures if there is a sudden withdrawal of drugs . If indeed your friend is dependent on drugs (narcotics and other dangerous substances / drugs) you should take your friend to a rehabilitation center for further treatment.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
