Hello, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com
Lactose intolerance is a reaction to indigestion caused by the body that cannot digest lactose, one of the ingredients in milk and all its processed products. To get the right treatment it is necessary to know the cause of the complaint it is necessary to do a history and direct physical examination.
There are several types of lactose intoleerance
Primary lactose intolerance, namely decreased production of lactase (an enzyme to digest lactose) that occurs with age. generally occurs and is caused by genetic factors
Secondary lactose intolerance. This type occurs due to a temporary decrease in lactase production which can be caused by other underlying diseases
Lactose intolerance in its development. Babies with premature birth may experience lactose intolerance temporarily, due to the small intestine not yet fully developed at birth.
Congenital lactose intolerance. Babies born with little or no lactase enzyme. This condition is very rare, but can occur due to genetic disorders inherited from both parents
Some foods that contain lactose, and need to be limited or avoided:
Milk, like cow or goat's milk
Dairy products, such as cheese, ice cream, yogurt or butter
Other foods, such as cakes, biscuits, chocolate, sweets, salad seasonings, ready-made fries, instant packaged soups, processed meats, and bread or cereal sometimes contain lactose. Pay attention to the composition of the food before buying it
If the complaint does not improve or you are worried you should check your child to a pediatrician to get further examination and treatment related to your condition
So much information from me, hopefully it helps
