My husband smoked, when I was a girl, when I was exposed to cigarette smoke I felt normal, but since I was pregnant and after giving birth, until now my child is almost 2 years old, so I cannot be tolerant of cigarette smoke .. Please help doc, actually I’m this Why?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Heavy breathing can be caused by several possibilities, including:
Obstruction of the airways (eg enlargement of nasal Konka, nasal polyps, enlargement of the adenoid glands, enlargement of the tonsils, tumors of the airway, etc.)
Pulmonary problems (eg pleural effusion, pneumothorax, pulmonary embolism, lung infection, bronchitis, pulmonary fibrosis, COPD, etc.)
Heart problems (eg heart rhythm disorders, heart valve disorders, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, etc.)
Gastrointestinal problems (eg flatulence, GERD)
Other causes (eg myasthenia gravis, anxiety disorders, panic attacks, depression, etc.)
To find out the exact cause, physical examination and support must also be done (such as ECG, chest X-ray or CT scan, echocardiography, etc.). If indeed the symptoms that you are experiencing are very disturbing to your daily activities, you should do an examination to the doctor of internal medicine in order to further evaluate the cause. If the symptoms are not too annoying, the examination should be postponed until the corona virus pandemic ends.
For now, you can try to do deep breathing exercises regularly whenever you have time. Try to lose weight if you have excess weight, get enough sleep and rest every day, avoid smoking and exposure to cigarette smoke as well.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
