Good morning, afternoon, evening doctor. I want to ask … About 2 days ago I had a cold. And then cough with itchy throat. Then not long my nose feels clogged and coughing too. But today my breath tightness of the chest became sick because of tired tiredness of breath. Is the shortness of breath that I feel because of phlegm / mucus that does not come out or other diseases ? Please explain … Thank you
Hello, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com
Shortness of breath that you experience, can be a symptom of the following diseases, namely:
1. Common cold. Where in the upper respiratory tract swelling or edema occurs in the mucosal layer and inferior Konka nasal. Of course this causes the air difficult to enter and exit through the airway.
2. Influenza, which is an respiratory tract infection caused by a virus. Same as common cold, where inflammation occurs in the mucosal layer so that the layer becomes edema and secretes more fluid and thicker than usual.
3. ARI (acute respiratory infection). Where the infection process can spread to the lung tissue and lower airway. This can cause shortness of breath and chest pain.
To alleviate these complaints, consume plenty of warm water, consume warm honey mixed with lime juice, breathe in steam from hot water and wash your nose. To prevent transmission, cover your nose and mouth when you cough and sneeze using your inner sleeve. Remove the phlegm and snot in the toilet and then flush thoroughly. Wear a mask when in a crowd. If the complaint has not improved or if the phlegm or snot is yellowish or greenish or green or if shortness of breath is getting annoying, you should immediately consult with the nearest doctor so that further examination can be done and appropriate treatment can be given according to the cause.
Thus hopefully useful.
