Shortness Of Breath Due To Stomach
Malem doc. I have experienced shortness of breath due to the stomach for more than 2 months. And it was cured and appeared again now. What I feel bloated stomach after eating, Shortness of breath (mainly), sometimes heartburn and body aches feel weak or tired. Every time I go to the health center, they say it is gerd and it is still in the mild category so I don’t need to be referred to a specialist in internal medicine. I was given ranitidine 150 mg / omeprazole. Every time I consumed it my stomach did not hurt anymore. But my breath still feels tightness. if after eating or before going to bed. I want to ask doc. What do I enter in the category of ‘serious’ or mild stomach? because I am a little restless when remembering that the stomach has been severe let alone shortness of breath can make someone die. And what action should I do it if it’s really serious. Thank you
Hello Aryo, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Increased gastric acid can occur by a variety of things including due to too spicy food, soft drinks, delaying eating, alcohol, cigarettes, obesity, to certain psychological conditions such as stress, depression, anxiety, and so on. Symptoms can include heartburn, nausea, vomiting, bloating, belching, mouth and throat feeling acidic even to chest pain and shortness of breath.
Complaints that you feel can indeed occur due to reflux / rising stomach acid to the throat which is commonly known as GERD symptoms. To reduce the symptoms, the use of drugs is certainly not effective. Some things can be done besides you continue to consume drugs from doctors regularly, namely:
Eat healthy and nutritious foods, multiply vegetables and fruit and avoid high-fat foods, too acidic, or too spicy and oily
Avoid consumption of caffeinated or fizzy drinks
Avoid cigarettes and alcohol
Drink enough water especially in warm conditions
Rest 7-8 hours a day
Raise your head while sleeping
Manage stress well
Avoid lying down immediately after eating
It is recommended to eat small but often rather than in large quantities at one time
For serious problems or mild course depends on the cause of the complaint and the severity of the disease. For that, if you still have complaints that still persist or complaints are felt to be burdensome, such as suffering from vomiting or bloody bowel, immediately return to your doctor for further treatment.
That's all, hope it helps.
