Shortness Of Breath For More Than A Month?
I have difficulty breathing, sometimes when breathing is not until or suddenly gasping. When checking my doctor x-rayed with the results: trachea / mediastinum no deviation, normal cast, normal bronchovascular patterns, no visible infiltrates in both lungs, hilum does not thicken, apex calm. Sputum negative results. Check Ecg is normal. Why do I feel stuffy? Is it true that I have asthma bronchitis? Please answer. thank you
Thank you for the question.
Difficulty breathing can be very many possible causes, such as:
Respiratory disorders, such as pleural effusion, pneumothorax, asthma, bronchitis, bronchhiolitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases Digestive disorders, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastritis, food allergies Heart disorders, such as congestive heart failure, valve disorders or heart rhythms Other factors, such as kidney disorders , psychological disorders, allergies, chemical smoke poisoning, etc. Not all causes of breathing difficulties as mentioned above can be detected through X-ray examination, sputum, and heart record. Therefore, normally the results of your examinations do not necessarily indicate that you are free from disease.
If the breathing problems that you experience are very disturbing, it never hurts you to go back to see your doctor or doctor of internal medicine. If necessary, the doctor may later coordinate with a psychiatrist if there is a suspected psychological problem behind your complaint.
Meanwhile, in order to improve your complaints, we recommend you to exercise more regularly (especially breathing exercises, such as swimming, jogging, cycling, and yoga), warm compresses of your chest that are tight, do not wear clothes that are too tight, rest regularly, limit it first tiring physical activities, keep ventilation and air circulation in your residence, do not smoke, and do not also take drugs carelessly. Avoid all substances that might make you allergic, and don't forget to manage your emotions more wisely.
Hope this helps ...
