Should Repeat MMR Vaccine Injections?
Good morning, I’m a mother of 1 child, 19 months old.
Hello Ayu Ningsih,
MR and MMR vaccines differ in the content of the Mumps vaccine to prevent mumps. At present, the most common MR vaccine is found to prevent measles and rubella. MR vaccine can be obtained at health centers, vaccine provider clinics, hospitals, or pediatricians.
For your condition, you might be able to ask the midwife again if you meant MMR or MR. When did your child get the MR vaccine? MR vaccine can be given to children aged 9 months and then given a booster at the age of 18 months.
If you are in doubt, you can consult with your doctor at the health center or with a pediatrician about the schedule of further immunizations for your child.
Hope it helps you,
