Should The Hepatitis B Vaccine Be Restarted After Being Vaccinated 3 Years Ago?
, I want to ask. I just checked Anti Hbs it says about 900 HBs titer. Do I need another hepatitis B vaccine? The last vaccine was more or less 3 years ago (3x injections), was not followed by a titer check, and the vaccine was carried out in a span of approximately 1 month between one month and the following month.
Thank you for the question.
HBsAg (Hepatitis B surface antigen) is one parameter that can be used to check a person's hepatitis B status. High HBsAg titers (more than 5s / c) most likely indicate that you are infected with Hepatitis B, can be acute, can be chronic.
The results of this HBsAg examination should also be compared with other parameters, such as anti-HBs, anti-HBc IgM, anti-HBc IgG, HBeAg, anti-HBe, and HBV DNA. That way, then you can deduce the status of your infection, and whether or not the need to do a repeat hepatitis B vaccine.
In healthy adults, the Hepatitis B vaccine is generally given in 3 doses with a gap of 1-6 months between vaccines. However, in special conditions, for example if you are suspected of being at high risk of getting hepatitis B, additional doses of vaccine can also be given.

I hope this helps.
