Thank you for the question on HealthReplies.com,
Coughing and colds are a protective response from the respiratory tract so that foreign objects or substances do not enter the respiratory tract further. Colds can be characterized by mucous discharge from the nasal cavity which can cause nasal congestion. Coughing can occur in the type of productive cough or non-productive cough. Coughing can also occur for a short time or persist for a long time.
Coughs and colds can be caused by several possible causes, including infections of the nasal region such as allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, infections of the pharyngeal area, infections of the tonsils / tonsils, infections of the laryngeal area, infections of the bronchi, infections of the lungs such as pneumonia or tuberculosis. Cough and cold conditions in children can cause complications such as shortness of breath, obstruction of the respiratory tract which can cause respiratory problems and eating disorders in your child.
It is advisable to consult with a pediatrician regarding further examination and management. Physical examination is needed related to the condition of your child, can be considered supporting examinations such as blood tests or imaging tests to be able to support the diagnosis and can determine the appropriate treatment for your child's condition. Avoid giving self-medication without doctor's instructions, continue to provide milk to your child and nutrition according to your child's ability (if you get significant eating disorders in your child it is advisable to check your child to the pediatrician).
Hopefully this information can help you,
